Evolution of field induced magneto-structural phase transition and magnetic ground state in antiferromagnetic Cu3TeO6
Abstract: The topological magnonic lattice with quantum spins has been recently investigated in Cu3TeO6 both theoretically and experimentally. The quantum spins of Cu2+ (S = ) in the cubic symmetry (Ia-3, a= 9.537 A) of Cu3TeO6 form low-dimensional geometry for instance non-coplanar hexagons and quasi-1D chains in a complex spin-web structure show interesting physical properties. This compound order antiferromagnetically at TN = 61 K and it s magnetic excitation spectra shows non-trivial topological Dirac magnons which attracted recently in condensed matter community. We have recently performed a detailed x-ray diffraction and Raman technique to elucidate a structural-phase transition in frustrated spin 1/2 Cu3TeO6 compound, indicating a structural transition, resulting in an unusually temperature dependence of cubic cell parameter and atomic displacement below the second-order phase transition (TN = 61 K) which indicates strong magneto-elastic coupling. This we would like to explore in great detail and accuracy under application of magnetic field in WISH diffractometer over as grown high-quality single-crystals.
