In-situ time-resolved IR study of supported Ru catalysts for alkene isomerization and aromatization
Abstract: The conversion of long-chain alkenes into valuable aromatic compounds is of significant importance across various industrial sectors. Current catalytic methods are not only resource-intensive but also heavily dependent on fossil fuels. In situ XAS together with XRD presents a unique opportunity to directly observe the structural behaviour of ruthenium-based catalysts under reaction conditions. This approach provides a comprehensive nderstanding of their functionality, stability, and deactivation pathways.
