Superconducting lithium/ammonia intercalates of zirconium nitride chloride
Abstract: This is a proposal to characterise a new layered nitride superconductor that we have prepared by the co-intercalation of lithium and ammonia into the interlayer van der Waals gaps in ZrNCl. Neutron powder diffraction data extending to high-Q is required to locate and quantify the light atoms (Li, H/D, N) in the Li/(NH3/ND3) layer between the zirconium nitride slabs, in order to confirm the slightly unusual distribution of intercalated species obtained from a preliminary experiment.
