Probing Superconductivity in Cu-Based High-Entropy Alloy Cu-Nb-Ti-Hf-Zr via ?SR

Abstract: High-entropy alloys (HEAs) superconductors challenge conventional models by exhibiting robust superconductivity despite extreme atomic-scale disorder and high lattice distortion. We investigate the Cu-rich HEA, Cu0.4Nb0.3Ti0.1Zr0.1Hf0.1 , which stabilizes in a body-centred cubic structure and shows a high transition temperature of TC =9.35(1)K, suitable for applications. This system provides a novel platform for elucidating how structural complexity and high-entropy stabilization influence the superconducting state and electron pairing. Muon spin relaxation and rotation measurements will be employed to determine the microscopic pairing symmetry, superfluid density, and time-reversal symmetry breaking in this promising high-field candidate, which will help to understand superconding pairing mechanism in high disodered alloys.
