Dissolution of PEDOT in chlorosulfonic acid
Abstract: We will study the interactions in PEDOT (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)) solutions in chlorosulfonic acid. PEDOT is a rigid polymer with an exceptional conductivity, insoluble in virtually all commonly used solvent unless chemically modified or copolymerised. The interactions between PEDOT and the acid are expected to give insight into its surprising dissolution, uncovering its mechanism which holds a significant importance in understanding and developing its processing.
