Epithermal Neutron ToF Imaging Using the LumaCam Event-Mode Detector at INES
Abstract: LumaCam detectors are a novel type of neutron imaging detector, which combine high spatial and temporal resolution. This makes them suitable for epithermal ToF imaging of samples with small features. First tests have already been conducted at the EMMA test beamline using a silver sample. We now propose to continue this work with measurements at INES, where the request and use of neutron resonance transmission imaging with epithermal neutrons have been growing recently, and which would benefit from a higher resolved and efficient transmission detector. Furthermore, we can also directly compare the results to data collected with the standard instrumentation.
