Investigating the complex magnetic origin and the possible Kondo lattice behavior in a 2D itinerant ferromagnet
Abstract: We intend to elucidate the origin of magnetism and find the interplay of local moments and itinerant electrons in Fe4GeTe2. We anticipate to observe the dual nature of magnetic excitations and Kondo-screening-enhanced spin wave damping in the spin excitation spectra. Considering the distinct magnetization behaviors between Fe4GeTe2 and Fe3GeTe2, we expect to capture unique features in the spin excitation spectra of Fe4GeTe2, such as the spin gap and its evolution against temperature. By comparing these results with those of other vdW itinerant ferromagnets, we aim to find a general law in these systems.
