High energy excitations in deuterated glue
Abstract: In collaboration with colleagues in the ISIS D-lab and RAL Technology, we have continued to develop a formulation for a deuterated adhesive. This experiment aims to measure the INS spectrum of commercial adhesives and of our own formulations with varying levels of deuteration. We aim to explore the relative importance to the neutron signal of deuterating the polymer backbone vs deuterating the solvents in the adhesives
