Are charge fluctuations present in KV3Sb5? A zero-field and longitudinal field investigation
Abstract: Kagome metals, AV3Sb5 (A= Rb,Cs and K), have attracted wide research attention owing to their complex electronic instabilities, including charge density wave (CDW), superconductivity, and nematic transitions. Understanding the possible origin and nature of these states has become a primary challenge. In our previous experiments (RB2410449 and RB2510399), we employed the avoided level crossing muSR technique on all the AV3Sb5 and identified a charge rearrangement well inside the CDW phase, at T*~ 40 K, manifested as a distinct shift in the resonance field with decreasing temperature for the Rb and Cs compounds. Different from its sister compounds, KV3Sb5 deviates from this behaviour, showing no comparable change. To better understand the charge dynamics, we propose a short continuation experiment to investigate the zero-field and longitudinal-field muSR measurements on KV3Sb5, a standout member of the AV3Sb5 family.
