Follow-up Investigation of Deformation Mechanisms of W-Cu Composites for Nuclear Fusion
Abstract: Previous work has investigated W-Cu composites (a candidate materials for fusion energy reactors) at room temperature and 350°C, using in situ neutron diffraction during tensile loading to reveal the contribution of the individual phases to the mechanical properties of the composite as a whole. Here we propose a follow-up experiment to get an additional data point at 550°C.
