?SR investigation of 1D chain magnetic system: LiYbW2O8
Abstract: Low-dimensional magnetic systems offer a rich platform for investigating novel quantum phenomena like Quantum Spin liquid (QSL) driven by strong quantum effects. In this context, we have synthesized a 1D chain magnet, LiYbW2O8, with a 1D chain of Yb-Yb ions. This system shows no disorder between Li and Yb sites and crystallizes in a wolframite structure. Here, we propose to study the spin dynamics and muon spin relaxation by combining zero-field, longitudinal field, and weak transverse field muon measurements. We will further confirm the absence of static magnetism, as suggested by primary magnetic data, down to 0.4 K. Hence, this will provide a complete picture of this 1D chain lattice-based promising quantum spin liquid candidate material.
