Determination of the magnetic structure of antiferromagnetic topological material EuAg4Sb2.
Abstract: EuAg4Sb2 exhibits two antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase transitions at TN1 = 10.6 K and TN2 = 7.5 K, as indicated by magnetization, heat capacity, and electrical resistivity measurements. The compound crystallizes in a trigonal structure (space group R3?m, No. 166) and displays metamagnetic transitions and hysteresis loops under applied magnetic fields. The temperature-dependent magnetic and magnetotransport properties suggest a complex magnetic structure similar to its isostructural counterpart EuAg4As2, which has a non-collinear AFM structure. To gain deeper insights into the interplay between magnetism and band topology, we aim to determine the precise magnetic structure of EuAg4Sb2. This investigation will enhance the understanding of AFM materials and their potential in exploring topological phases of matter, contributing to the broader study of magnetic topological systems.
