The Structure of Used and Useful Solvents
Abstract: Understanding the self-solvation of a liquid is fundamental to understanding its behaviour and utility as a solvent. Remarkably, 4 of the 25 most common solvents in organic chemistry remain unstudied: dioxane, ethyl acetate, diethyl ether, and pentane.
