thermal-to-epithermal study of calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2.
Abstract: In our recent study of borated concrete materials on VESUVIO, we have discovered that the local chemcial dynamics of hydrogen and oxygen in these materials is correlated to the molar ratio of B2O3 to Ca(OH)2. We have previosuly performed a broadband neutron study of boron oxide, B2O3. Our analysis of neutron Compton scattering (NCS), transmission (NT) and diffraction data (ND) is, however, slightly hampered by the lack of information about the structure and dynamics of Ca(OH)2. Here, we propose to measure, NT, NCS, and ND concurrently on VESUVIO to bridge this gap.
