Determination of zero-field magnetic structure of antiferromagnetic EuSnP
Abstract: Based on magnetization and magnetotransport data, antiferromagnetic EuSnP is considered a possible skyrmionic lattice, despite its centrosymmetric crystal structure. To verify this tempting conjecture, neutron diffraction or resonant elastic X-ray scattering studies in an external magnetic field of about 2 T should be carried out. However, a prerequisite for such experiments is knowledge of the magnetic wave vector in zero magnetic field. The aim of this proposal is to determine the zero-field magnetic wave vector and magnetic structure of EuSnP at a temperature of 5 K using the SXD diffractometer at ISIS Facility.
