Inelastic Neutron Scattering Studies of Shastry-Sutherland Model System Tb2Be2GeO7
Abstract: We propose to study the magnetic structure and spin excitations of Tb2Be2GeO7 - a rare-earth based Shastry-Sutherland compound - on high-quality single crystal sample and investigate its evolution under magnetic field. In particular we are interested in performing inelastic neutron scattering experiment to probe the spin-wave excitations at fields where we observe the magnetization plateaus in order to extract the exchange interactions.
