In-situ neutron diffraction on the working electrode of electric double layer capacitors
Abstract: We propose to use in-situ neutron diffraction to study the working electrode of an electric double layer capacitor. Contrast variation of the electrolyte solvent (H2O, D2O, HDO) will allow us to experimentally determine three independent differential scattering cross sections of the aqueous salt solutions in charged confinement to extract pair distribution functions.
