The nature of superconductivity in quasi-one-dimensional metal Rb2Mo3As3
Abstract: The A2Mo3As3 (A=K, Rb, Cs) compounds are made of assembled Mo3As3 chains and are thus potential realizations of quasi-one-dimensional metals. Various experiments on these materials hint to Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid (TLL) physics, from which superconductivity with a relatively high critical temperature of Tc = 10.4 K emerges. However, the regime of effective interactions in the TLL and its relevance to superconductivity is not yet resolved due to the multiband nature of A2Mo3As3. The aim of this proposal is to measure muon transverse relaxation below Tc to determine the Cooper pairing symmetry and to check for possible time reversal symmetry breaking.
