A muSR study of magnetic properties of the Meissner phase.
Abstract: A recent LE-muSR experiment brought unexpected results challenging the standard interpretation of electromagnetic properties of the Meissner phase, i.e., properties of the bulk of superconducting samples in the Meissner state. However, these results could be an artifact caused by a low-energy tail of the stopping distribution of implanted muons. Here we propose an experiment that excludes the possibility of such an artifact, tests the previous finding, and explores it over a broader range of fields and temperatures of the Meissner phase.
