Spin-energy Entanglement of a Neutron in MIEZE mode

Abstract: We propose to demonstrate the entanglement of the spin and energy subsystems of individual neutrons with the Larmor instrument in MIEZE mode. Such neutrons could be direct probe of entanglement, which may prove to be a valuable tool in studying exotic materials. The use of MIEZE mode expands the variety of possible samples and allows the study of regimes where the neutron up and down spin states are either separated by more than the coherence length or largely overlapping.
