Understanding multicomponent quantum criticality in CeCu5.8Ag0.2
Abstract: Quantum critical fluctuations are at the origin of a plethora of coherent quantum phases, but their microscopic nature remains unclear even in model materials. One of them is CeCu5.8Ag0.2, featuring multicomponent criticality arising from potentially coupled energy scales associated with spin-density wave (SDW) order and Kondo coherence. Using an external magnetic field as an auxiliary tuning parameter, we here propose to continue our endeavor on LET to clarify the interplay between the different fluctuating order parameters. This is required for a comprehensive microscopic understanding of quantum criticality in the CeCu6-xAgx series.
