SANS investigation of helical antiferromagnet Co1/3NbS2
Abstract: The antiferromagnet Co1/3NbS2 shows an unexpectedly large c-axis anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in a narrow temperature range below TN. To date, little is known about the corresponding magnetic structure dominating its AHE amplitude, although a helical structure is speculated, and our preliminary uSR study has confirmed two distinct magnetic phases below TN. In this proposed SANS experiment, our goal is to verify the existence of the helical phase and search for the possible emergence of other topologically non-trivial magnetic structures, i.e., magnetic skyrmions.
