Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation in the 3-Component Electronic Liquid, Li-NH3-MeNH2
Abstract: We propose measuring a single sample using the radiography capabilities of IMAT. We will take a 12MPM Li sample in equimolar ND3-CH3ND2 and monitor the evolution of the scattering density of the liquid in its phase-separated state with temperature. The extent/volume of each phase will be determined, the presence of each solvent contributing separately to the scattering density (there is no H/D exchange in our isotopic specification) which can in turn be monitored with temperature
