Magnetic excitons in the frustrated topological Nd2PdSi3
Abstract: We propose to measure high resolution inelastic neutron scattering on the ternary intermetallic Nd2PdSi3. Members of the family to which this compound belongs are known for exhibiting a wide variety of phenomena, such as heavy fermion physics, low dimensional magnetism and magnetic frustration. Our previous experiment performed on Merlin has shown how rich the spectrum of Nd2PdSi3 is below 10 meV. Some crucial details about the excitations are not, however, discernible in the Merlin data due to their low energy. We therefore propose to extend our study using LET.
