Where scattering meets refraction in SESANS
Abstract: For many scattering applications we ignore many other optical effects such as refraction, however techniques such as SESANS now probe length scales where refraction has also to be considered. We will use simple model systems (spherical particles of different diameters) to measure length scales which crossover from diffraction to refraction. This will allow us to determine how to describe such data and most importantly with this knowledge we can apply this to real world systems such as food and emulsions.
