Translational Dynamics in the Solvated Electron-Alkalide Analogues Li-MeNH2 and LiNa-MeNH2
Abstract: This proposal aims to determine the differences in methylamine dynamics in metallic, electroytic, and alkalidic solutions. The large differences in density and the visual behaviour of the liquids suggests very different motional dynamics which will be determined from QENS measurements at various temperatures. Furthermore, elastic fixed window scans will be taken for the samples across their solid and liquid phases to identify points of dynamic transitions which can be correlated with structural phases that are currently under investigation.
