SANS study of pesticide solubilisation in nonionic bola-formed triblock copolymer nanoaggregates
Abstract: Our recent studies have indicated the high potential of triblock Pluronic copolymers in solubilising pesticides. This SANS experiment is to outline how changes in the Pluronic polymer structures affect micellar nanostructures and how solubilisation of representative pesticides affects the transition of the micellar size and shape. H/D substitutions will help improve structural resolution. This SANS work offers the nanostrucutures of polymeric nanoaggregates before and after pesticide solubilisation and fulfils a crucial gap between molecular structures and solubility optimisation. 2 days of SANS2D time is requested to illustrate structural features of the micellar nanostructures. SANS2D is preferred because of the need to cover the whole Q range, especially the lowest Q range down to 0.001 Å-1 to determine the sizes of micelles, the cores, shells and water distributions.
