Probing the interfacial magnetism of Antiferromagnetic insulators
Abstract: This project has a chance of unambiguously demonstrating spin-orbit torque induced switching for a typical perpendicular antiferromagnetic (AFM) material whose structure is simple and colinear. This experiment not only confirms the feasibility of using SOT to control magnetism of AFM but also clearly rules out other thermal artefacts by high Rxy signal-to-noise ratio and the typical SOT behaviors under external fields. This experiment can advance the development of antiferromagnetic spintronics and memory devices.
