Spectrum of Yb3Fe5O12 in applied magnetic fields
Abstract: The iron garnets have since long been object of study for their unique magneto-optical properties. The plethora of research, conducted mostly between the 1960?s and the 1980?s, was insufficient to provide deep fundamental knowledge of the most established magnetic properties presented by those materials. Motivated by recent magnetometry data, we propose to build on our recent results for Yb3Fe5O12 and study the effects of magnetic fields upon the magnetic excitation spectrum of the compound using LET.
