Manufacturing of permanent magnets by additive manufacturing: Establishing neutron imaging as an essential characterization tool
Abstract: Here we propose combined Bragg edge and magnetic contrast-based neutron imaging which will allow to identify the distribution of the ferromagnetic phase in correlation with the distribution of the magnetic domains in additive manufactured MnAl permanent magnets. The results from this study will show the way for optimisation of the manufacturing parameters.
