A Cobalt realization of jeff=1/2 on a honeycomb lattice?
Abstract: We propose to investigate the magnetic fluctuations in a Co2+ honeycomb lattice that does not display long-range magnetic order in the susceptibility. We propose to use MERLIN to map out the excitations which are potentially broad in energy and momentum. The experiment requests 6 days of time.
