Magnetic structure of frustrated quasi-one-dimensional spin-1/2 chain KVOPO4
Abstract: We propose the low-temperature neutron diffraction experiment on a quantum magnet KVOPO4. This compound shows experimental signatures of spin chains with competing ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions and may have an unusual, canted antiferromagnetic ground state. The proposed neutron experiment will elucidate the magnetic structure of KVOPO4 and assist in constructing a general microscopic picture of this interesting compound.
