Re-visiting the phase diagram of MnSi
Abstract: The reference helimagnet MnSi was the first system where skyrmion lattices were identified for the first time. The magnetic field - temperature phase diagram of this system follows the generic scheme of cubic chiral magnets. However, new findings on the similar system Cu2OSeO3 show that the magnetic field can stabilise new phases and under certain conditions, the skyrmionic correlations may expand beyond the A-phase pocket. We now propose to re-visit the phase diagram of MnSi and use SANS to search for new (skyrmionic) phases.
