Fractionalized magnetic excitations in a quantum spin liquid candidate NaYbSe2
Abstract: Quantum spin liquid (QSL) is a long-sought goal of condensed matter physics because of its connection to the microscopic mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity and non-trivial topological properties which could promote the development of quantum computation. Finding QSL state in real materials is an important mission of modern condensed matter physics. A new class of promising QSL candidate is NaYbCh2 (Ch = O, S, Se). To determine if it is pristine QSL, we propose to explore the momentum-dependent fractionalized magnetic excitations (which is a key evidence for QSL) for NaYbSe2 single crystals using high-resolution inelastic neutron scattering at LET.
