Lithium/ammonia intercalates of Bismuth Selenide
Abstract: This proposal is to explore new lithium/ammonia intercalates of bismuth selenide (Bi2Se3) that we have identified using in situ X-ray powder diffraction experiments. New ammonia-rich phases have been identified and we need to use neutron powder diffraction to locate the light atoms (Li, H/D, N) in the Li/NH3 layer between the bismuth selenide slabs. We will use low temperature measurements to localise the intercalate species, and will use both NH3 and ND3-containing samples to constrain the structure refinements
