Magnetic structure determinations in the complex boride Mn3Co20B6
Abstract: The experiment will study the magnetic structure in the complex boride Mn3Co20B6. Substitutions in this compound makes it possible to tune the magnetic properties, thus, making it a promising candidate for magnetic cooling. In Mn3Co20B6, a number of different magnetic features is observed at a wide temperature range. From dynamic magnetic fluctuations at ~120 K, to the ferromagnetic transition at ~525 K, and above. To study this would therefore advance the knowledge and as a consequence, yield knowledge to the entire community of magnetic cooling.
