Low-temperature neutron diffraction study of magnetic unconventional clathrate EuNi2P4
Abstract: The proposal is dedicated to the first magnetic unconventional clathrate EuNi2P4. By resolving the low-temperature (below 15K) nuclear and magnetic strucutres we should be able to explain the behavior of EuNi2P4 on a microscopic scale. Magnetic interactions between Eu2+ are expected to be sufficient to drive structural transformations in the flexible clathrate framework.
