Order/disorder and phase transitions in the OLED material Alq3

Abstract: We propose to measure the pair distribution function of the organic light emitting material Alq3 focussing on the structure of one disordered crystalline phase and its transition to an ordered state. The dsorder involves two isomers of the Alq3 cluster. The measurements will be analysed using the Reverse Monte Carlo method, with the aim to obtain structural information on the disorder.
