Rheo-SANS of 2NapFF
Abstract: We are investigating a range of functionalised dipeptides. For some examples, anisotropic structures are formed in water at high pH, which can be gelled by addition of a calcium salt or a decrease in pH. We have found that we can prepare very different self-assembled structures by varying the chirality of the dipeptides, which opens up new opportunities in this field. Fitting the current data is difficult as there is always a degree of alignment due to loading of the sample environment. Ideally we would have a well-aligned sample to allow us to deconvolute the alignment from the structural information and allow us to fit the data. We can shear-align our samples using a rheometer, so here we wish to collect rheo-SANS at high shear rates.
