Dispersion of Alkylated graphenes in non-polar solvents
Abstract: Graphene, a new class of two-dimensional carbon structure, has attracted much attention as a material with unique physical and chemical properties. The aim of this proposal is to characterise alkylated graphenes at interfaces for the first time with the aim of accessing its application as a new surfactant and in particular as an oil lubricant additive.
