Aza-crown-stabilized Alkali-Alkalide Systems: Solvent and metal effects on diffusion and methyl group dynamics
Abstract: We request 4 days on IRIS to investigate the diffusional and rotational dynamics of the alkalide forming, fully methylated aza-crown hexamethyl-hexacyclen (HMHC) in solution.Through partial deuteration of HMHC we can isolate these motions, and thus determine the effect of alkalide binding and solvent in two systems (dimethyl ether, isopropylamine).
