Microwave µSR studies of solids: electron-hole separation by non-thermal microwave effects and hyperfine interactions
Abstract: In this proposal we are planning to study free radicals (molecules with unpaired electrons) and interactions of charged species in solids under microwave irradiation. The study has two potential applications: 1) a new method to characterize the free radicals in solids very accurately. Such studies will be important to develop new material for a wide variety of high tech industries. 2) use of microwave field to enhance the properties of nanomaterial for waste treatment.
