Structural phase transition in SnSe with ultra low thermal conductivity
Abstract: SnSe has recently been reported to have very good thermoelectric performance. This is linked to an ultralow thermal conductivity and occurs in the B-phase (ZT > 2 above 800 K). We propose to investigate the structural phase transition from the A to B phase in detail, and to determine the temperature dependence of the thermal displacement parameters. This information will be linked to the observed ultralow thermal conductivities.
