Superconducting gap structure of the cage compound Sc5Rh6Sn18: A muon spin relaxation study
Abstract: Recently we have investigated the superconducting state of the caged type compound R5Rh6Sn18 (R = Lu and Y) by using magnetization, heat capacity, and muon-spin relaxation or rotation measurements. Our zero-field µSR measurements clearly reveal the spontaneous appearance of an internal magnetic field below the transition temperature, which indicates that the superconducting state in these materials is characterized by the broken time-reversal symmetry. Further the analysis of temperature dependence of the magnetic penetration depth for Lu5Rh6Sn18 measured using the transverse field MUSR measurements suggest an isotropic s-wave character for the superconducting gap. We want to study zero-field (ZF), transverse field (TF) and longitudinal field (LF) to investigate microscopic superconducting properties of Sc5Rh6Sn18 using MUSR spectrometer.
