Quasi-elastic neutron scattering using Neutron Spin echo
Abstract: We propose a measurement of the effectiveness of using the RF flippers on Offspec in a quasi-elastic mode (theta=90°) with the RF at 0.5MHz. This is important to our future development of quasi-elastic scattering using neutron spin-echo on the new Larmor instrument as this experiment will guide our design. We will measure a resolution standard (carbon) and also a strong scatterer with dynamics in the available 5-10ns time window.
