Surfactants in the mirror: aggregation of very low surface tension surfactants
Abstract: The results from this experiment will develop alternatives to controlling surface tension through the design of 21st century surfactants (better performance at lower concentration with lower environmental consequences) by gaining essential information on how molecular structure affects aggregation. A sister proposal has been submitted this round to study adsorption of similar surfactants by neutron reflectivity (“Take it to the limit: VERY low surface tension surfactants”).
