Depth profiling in PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 using muons – Origin of skin effect?:
Abstract: We propose to use muon depth profiling to characterize chemical homogeneity near the surface in a relaxor ferroelectric - PMN. PMN displays a distinct skin effect which may originate from chemical inhomogeneity or clustering. Alternatively, random field theories based upon model magnets have been suggested. We propose to test this possibility using muons.
