Magnetism in the martensitic phase of Ni2Mn1.4In0.6 and Ni1.8Co0.2Mn1.4In0.6 magnetic shape memory alloys.
Abstract: We propose to solve the long standing controversy regarding the magnetic state of off-stoichiometric Heusler alloys Ni2Mn1.4In0.6 and Ni1.8Co0.2Mn1.4In0.6 at temperatures below the magneto-structural transition and establish whether the materials are compensated ferrimagnets with zero net moment or paramagnets.
