Muon spin relaxation in the ferromagnetic superconductor UCoGe
Abstract: Superconductivity near ferromagnetism, found in several U-based compounds, often exhibits intriguing superconducting properties. Recently, UCoGe was shown to belong to a new family of ferromagnetic metals. It is a weak itinerant ferromagnet below Tc=3 K and becomes superconducting at Tsc=0.8 K. Spin-triplet superconductivity, which is a rare superconducting property, is suggested UCoGe. We propose to carry out ZF-MuSR experiments on single crystals of UCoGe to investigate the pairing mechanism of UCoGe.
