Impact of Anion Ordering on Strains in Perovskite Oxynitrides
Abstract: This proposal will study the temperature dependence of the structure of a novel perovskite oxynitride SrTaO2N in order to establish how anion ordering impacts on the coupling of the octahedral tilting and lattice distortion. This is important since the important optical (band-gap) properties of perovskite oxynitrides are sensitive to small structural distortions.
